The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will impose P2,000 fine on motorists violating the light truck ban beginning March 20.
Under the new regulation, all trucks with 500 kilogram gross capacity like delivery and garbage trucks will no longer be allowed to pass along Edsa Magallanes to North Avenue and on some parts of Edsa Shaw Boulevard.
The light truck ban will be enforced from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. along parts of Edsa southbound lane, while it is in effect along the northbound lane of Edsa from five in the afternoon to nine in the evening.
The dry run of the light truck ban will run until June 15 of this year. — UNTV News and Rescue
